Vrgada

A pleasant morning swim in the transparent green water! We sail out to Gangaro, where we anchor. There are just a few houses on this island and here and there a dock for a small boat. A real oasis of peace!

Sit

Sit

After the swim we sail between islands Žižanj and Košara, avoiding numerous cages with fish. We navigate near island Pašman all the way to the bay Soline, where we stop for a lunch. Then we continue towards Sit, one of the easternmost islands of Kornati archipelago (these easternmost islands are not a part of Kornati national park), where we anchor in a bay on the northern side of the island. There are a few houses here. We sail all around Sit and then head back to the south of Pašman. Željka is at the steering wheel. She complains that she feels hot under her foot. Well of course, there is an engine underneath. We keep sailing. Suddenly Željka realizes that the vapor is coming out of the engine compartment. A fast look at the temperature indicator tells it all: deep in red! We raise the engine cover and find out that a tube is damaged and that the cooling water does not circulate any more. We rapidly spot a small bay on Pašman, near islet Maslinjak, anchor here and turn the engine off. We have no tools for the repair so Željka calls the boat owner on the phone and he promises to come the next morning. OK, we spend the night in this quite protected bay, full of ugly houses.
